Are you looking for fun-filled summer activities for your preschooler? If so, then finding the right ones can be quite challenging. Here are some ideas for various themes to keep your little one busy during summer days and to help celebrate the season.
1. Beach Fun
A. Hidden Treasure
Fill a small bucket partially with water. Then place a type of sea vegetation into the water, such as seaweed. Next, place small treasures in the bottom of the bucket, and have your child or children search for those items.
2. Zoo
A. Animal Walk
This is similar to the "Simon Says" game. The "Zookeeper" commands the player(s) to walk like a certain animal. Afterwards, the child pretends to act like that particular animal. Some of the animals you can use in the game are bears, lions, monkeys, elephants, etc.
3. Water Activities
A. Water Cycle
Without using the big scientific words involved in the process, have the children create a picture that shows each of the four parts of the water cycle. You can use various materials, such as cotton balls for clouds.

Cut the bottoms of the egg carton into 12 parts. Have your child paint them and draw nostrils onto them. Then attach the yarn to both sides of the noses. After putting air holes in the pig nose, your preschoolers can then tie on his or her pig nose.

Use a marker or crayon to color a cork green. Wrap a green pipe cleaner around the cork, and then twist it. Next, bend the pipe cleaner's long ends into frog legs. Use a string to pull the floatable frog through the water.
